UK Demands Access To Apple Users’ Encrypted Data

The UK government is demanding access to encrypted data stored by Apple users globally in its cloud service, under the Investigatory Powers Act. Apple has not commented on the matter, citing privacy as a fundamental human right. The request concerns Apple’s Advanced Data Protection service, which employs strong encryption. Privacy International called it an unprecedented attack on private data.
