Sensex, Nifty Open Lower; IT Stocks Buck Weak Trend

Indian shares opened lower on Tuesday, with the Sensex down 178 points and Nifty down 74 points. Tata Steel, Shriram Finance, BEL, BPCL, and Grasim all fell around 2 percent, while IT stocks like Infosys, Wipro, and Tech Mahindra rose about 1 percent each. Bharti Airtel dipped slightly after a promoter entity announced plans to offload a stake. SBI Cards fell 1 percent after appointing a new CEO, while ABB India rallied 3.6 percent on strong quarterly results. Gabriel India tumbled 3.2 percent after a license agreement with Marelli Suspension Systems Italy. Zomato dropped 1 percent on news of AI-driven customer support.
