In early trading on Monday, Merck’s shares rose by 2.1%, making it the best-performing Dow Jones component of the day. However, year-to-date, Merck has lost about 10.0% of its value. On the other hand, UnitedHealth Group was the worst-performing Dow component, with shares trading down 7.2% on the day and 7.8% year-to-date. Two other components making moves were NVIDIA, trading down 4.1%, and Coca-Cola, trading up 1.9% on the day.
