Dow, S&P 500 Head Higher Again

The S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average saw a rise in trading after opening lower with the Dow up 160 points, or 0.5% and the S&P up less than 0.1%. The Nasdaq Composite, initially down over 1%, managed to decrease to just 0.4% lower.

The sudden drop in the Nasdaq Composite, falling over 1% before recovering to be down only 0.4%, contributed to the mixed market performance. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 160 points, or 0.5%, while the S&P 500 showed a smaller increase of less than 0.1%.

Initially opening lower, the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average both saw an upward trend in trading with the Dow up 160 points, or 0.5% and the S&P up less than 0.1%. The Nasdaq Composite, which dropped over 1% earlier, managed to recover to be down just 0.4%.
