Warner Bros. Discovery announced adding 6.4 million global streaming subscribers in the fourth quarter, totaling 116.9 million. Streaming revenue reached $2.65 billion, up 5%. Adjusted EBITDA for the unit was $409 million, a significant improvement. The company aims for 150 million subscribers by 2026 and double the adjusted EBITDA to $1.3 billion for the year.
Max will include B/R Sports and CNN content at no extra cost for standard and premium subscribers, reversing previous plans for an additional charge. These verticals will be removed from the basic ad-supported tier from March 30. Overall fourth-quarter revenue declined 2% to $10.03 billion, with a net loss of $494 million reported.
TV networks revenue was $4.77 billion, down from $5.04 billion in the same period last year. In the second quarter of 2024, the company wrote down $9.1 billion for its networks business. Warner Bros. Discovery aims for growth and development, with more updates to follow.
