From Cointelegraph
March 4, 2025 12:36 AM:
NYSE Arca has filed a proposed rule change to list and trade shares of the Bitwise Asset Management Dogecoin exchange-traded fund. If approved, the ETF will offer direct exposure to Dogecoin, with Coinbase as the custodian and Bank of New York Mellon handling cash custody. Bitwise filed an S-1 registration form for the product in late January.
Dogecoin prices fell more than 15% to $0.19 amidst a broader crypto market rout following the NYSE Arca filing. The SEC has acknowledged Grayscale’s filings for the Grayscale Dogecoin Trust, potentially deciding by mid-October. Nasdaq has also filed a proposed rule change to list the Grayscale Hedera Trust, tracking HBAR prices.
There has been a surge in altcoin ETF applications in the US, including funds for Cardano, Solana, Polkadot, Litecoin, and XRP. This comes after a shift in the SEC’s stance towards cryptocurrencies under the new administration. Nasdaq has filed for various altcoin ETFs, signaling a growing interest in crypto investment products.
