Synopsys collaborates with Vector Informatik to advance software-defined vehicle development

Synopsys, Inc. announced a collaboration with Vector Informatik to accelerate the automotive industry’s shift to software-defined vehicles (SDVs). The partnership will deliver solutions leveraging Vector’s software factory expertise and Synopsys’ electronics digital twins expertise, improving software validation and developer productivity. The goal is to reduce development costs, speed up iterations, and enhance software quality throughout the vehicle lifecycle. The companies plan to integrate Vector’s MICROSAR embedded software and CANoe with Synopsys Silver and Virtualizer Development Kits to provide virtual electronic control units for SDV architecture, enabling faster time-to-market and efficiency.
