Vail Resorts Surges 8% on Strong Q2 Earnings Beat

Vail Resorts (NYSE:MTN) shares surged 8% after beating Q2 earnings expectations. Adjusted EPS was $6.56, higher than the forecasted $6.30. Revenue hit $1.14 billion, up 5.5% YoY. Resort Reported EBITDA rose 8% to $459.7 million, driven by increased skier visits. However, western North American resorts saw a decline in destination guest visitation.
The company’s fiscal 2025 outlook predicts net income between $257 million and $309 million. Resort Reported EBITDA is expected to range from $841 million to $877 million. Vail Resorts credits its success to its season pass program, guest experience investments, and strong operational execution.
