U.S. stocks expected to open higher on lower-than-expected inflation data

Stocks are expected to open higher after futures rose 1.3%. Consumer prices in the U.S. increased by 0.2% in February, slightly below expectations. Core prices also rose by 0.2%. The annual rate of consumer price growth slowed to 2.8% in February. Ukraine has agreed to a 30-day ceasefire with Russia. The EU plans to impose tariffs on $28 billion worth of U.S. goods. U.S. stocks closed lower on Tuesday due to trade war fears. In overseas trading, Asian markets fell, while European markets rose. Crude oil is at $67.10 a barrel, gold is at $2,918.90 an ounce, and the dollar is trading at 148.87 yen and $1.0886 against the euro.
