An arbitrator has temporarily banned former Meta employee Sarah Wynn-Williams from promoting her memoir, “Careless People,” which contains allegations of sexual harassment by senior Meta executives. Meta argued that the book breaches a nondisparagement agreement Wynn-Williams signed. The company denies the claims and states Wynn-Williams was dismissed for poor performance. The legal action reflects Meta’s shift to a more guarded approach and strong response to public disclosures by former employees. Arbitrator Nicholas Gowen ruled in favor of Meta, requiring Wynn-Williams to cease promoting the book and retract disparaging statements.
