TSX closed sharply higher with S&P/TSX gaining 1.45%, led by Nfi Group Inc.

The Canadian market closed strong on Friday, with the S&P/TSX Composite Index gaining 1.45% to end at 24,553.40. The Information Technology Capped Index rose 2.83%, while the Financials Capped Index advanced 1.85%. Nfi Group Inc. led the Industrials sector with a 21% surge in stock price. Mattr Corp topped the Energy sector with a 15.2% increase. Manufacturing sales in Canada rose 1.7% in January, marking the fourth consecutive monthly increase. Wholesale sales also increased by 1.2% in January. New Motor Vehicle Sales in Canada dropped to 121,628 units in January from 135,511 units in December.
