Google announced the acquisition of cloud security platform Wiz, Inc. for $32 billion in cash to enhance cloud security and protect against threats. The deal aims to improve the ability to use multiple clouds and provide an automated security platform.

Alphabet Inc. (GOOG) stock is trading at $166.20 in pre-market hours, down 0.22 percent on the Nasdaq. The acquisition of Wiz, Inc. is expected to accelerate cloud security efforts and strengthen Google’s position in the cloud services market.
