Minnesota state Senator Jeremy Miller has introduced the Minnesota Bitcoin Act, changing his stance on Bitcoin to promote prosperity for Minnesotans. The bill allows state employees to add Bitcoin to retirement accounts and pay state taxes with crypto. Investment gains from Bitcoin are exempt from state income taxes.

Several US states have introduced bills to create Bitcoin reserves, with 39 bills introduced across 23 states. Senator Cynthia Lummis proposed the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Act to buy 1 million Bitcoin over five years. Bitcoin has shown significant gains compared to traditional assets, with a compound annual growth rate of 102.36%.
