Nvidia CEO says company has not been asked to buy a stake in Intel

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang denied being approached about buying a stake in Intel. Reports suggested a consortium involving Nvidia, TSMC, and others may buy Intel’s factories. Intel and Nvidia shares remained flat after the news. 3.6 million Blackwell chip orders didn’t include Meta Platforms, a major customer. Meta plans to spend $65 billion on Nvidia chips for AI infrastructure. Despite concerns, Huang reassured investors about chip demand. Nvidia shares rose after the call but fell previously due to market uncertainty. Huang mentioned moving production to the U.S. in response to tariffs under Trump. TSMC’s $100 billion U.S. investment includes a new chip facility in Arizona where Nvidia is already running production silicon. Discussions between TSMC and Nvidia for producing Blackwell chips in Arizona were reported.
