Eli Lilly has launched its weight-loss drug Mounjaro in India, ahead of rival Novo Nordisk. The once-weekly injection is approved by India’s drug regulator and priced at 4,375 rupees or $50.67 for a 5 mg vial and 3,500 rupees or $40.54 for a 2.5 mg vial. This move comes as India grapples with increasing rates of obesity and diabetes. The drug is expected to be a game-changer in the country’s healthcare market.
