U.S. advisors bullish on crypto ETFs, increasing holdings, expanding interest in various cryptocurrencies

Financial advisors in the U.S. are bullish on crypto ETFs, with 57% planning to increase their holdings this year. Only 1% want to decrease their position. The SEC approved spot bitcoin ETFs in January 2024, signaling broader institutional adoption due to the Trump administration’s friendly stance on crypto. Advisors are also interested in crypto equity ETFs, particularly those investing in companies like Strategy and Tesla. Michael Saylor’s MSTR stock has seen significant gains, attracting both retail and institutional investors to crypto-linked equities.

22% of advisors are eyeing spot crypto ETFs like spot bitcoin and ether, while 19% are interested in crypto asset funds holding multiple tokens. The growing interest in crypto ETFs has led to numerous launches, including index-based ETFs and managed funds offering downside protection. Issuers have filed for Solana, XRP, and Litecoin spot ETFs, awaiting SEC review. The crypto space is expanding rapidly, urging advisors to stay informed and learn from experts.
