The benchmark diesel price rose 1.8 cents a gallon to $3.567 for the first time in three weeks, after three weeks of declines totaling 14.8 cents a gallon. Diesel prices in the futures market have been gradually climbing but in small increments. Recent Trump administration actions, including increased sanctions against Iranian oil shipments and threats of tariffs on Venezuelan crude, have contributed to the increase. Despite these factors, diesel prices have not risen further, prompting concerns about the disconnect between supply and demand. ULSD on CME has seen a slight increase in spread relative to global crude benchmark Brent.
