PPG has opened a new waterborne automotive coatings plant in Thailand, increasing production capacity for sustainable coatings in Southeast Asia. The facility has an annual capacity of 2,000t and features an automated spray application center. Additionally, PPG plans to invest $300m in a new manufacturing plant in Tennessee to enhance innovation and quality in its coatings production.
