UK wine retailer Majestic has agreed to acquire distributor Enotria&Coe. The financial terms were not disclosed. Majestic aims to become the UK’s top supplier of wines, beers, and spirits, enhancing value, choice, and service for partners. Enotria&Coe, founded in 1972, has a portfolio of 300+ wine producers and 1,500+ spirits distillers, serving various channels in the UK.

Majestic sees significant potential in building Enotria&Coe alongside its Majestic Commercial branch. Both companies will operate independently after the acquisition. Enotria&Coe CEO Julian Momen expressed excitement, citing shared values and growth ambitions with Majestic. The deal is seen as a strategic combination with potential for enhanced profitability.

Majestic, acquired by Fortress Investment Group in 2019, operates 212 retail stores in the UK. The company plans to expand its portfolio and Majestic Commercial division by 2030. Last April, Majestic acquired Vagabond Wines to target a younger demographic of wine drinkers. The acquisition of Enotria&Coe aligns with Majestic’s growth strategy.
