Mazda achieves record US sales in March 2025

Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) saw a 16.1% increase in vehicle sales in March 2025, hitting 43,097 units, their best-ever single month sales. The increase comes ahead of new US import tariffs, with strong sales reported by many importer OEMs.
With 26 selling days in March, MNAO posted a 20.6% increase in Daily Selling Rate (DSR) compared to the previous year. Certified pre-owned (CPO) sales also rose by 5% to 7,116 vehicles in March 2025.
Several Mazda models hit record sales in March: the CX-50 sold 9,687 units, the CX-70 sold 2,452 units, and the CX-90 sold 5,039 units. Mazda Canada (MCI) reported a 42.9% increase in March sales, totaling 7,237 vehicles.
Mazda Motor de Mexico (MMdM) saw a 25% increase in March sales, selling 9,044 vehicles, and a 30% increase in year-to-date sales, reaching 26,175 units. Globally, Mazda Motor reported a sales volume of 101,293 units in January 2025, a 1.5% increase year-on-year.
In February, Mazda Motor committed a $150m investment in Thailand for producing electric compact SUVs with an annual target of 100,000 units. Mazda’s president and CEO Masahiro Moro highlighted the move as a step towards xEV production and meeting international standards for hybrid technology.
