European Shares Extend Losses Due To Tariff Worries

European stocks hit a 16-month low as EU prepares for retaliatory tariffs against the US. Fear of global recession in 2025 due to proposed tariffs by President Trump. STOXX 600 down 5.2%, DAX fell 5.7%, CAC 40 lost 5.2%, and FTSE 100 down 5.1%. Banks and defense stocks plunged, while energy majors BP and Shell fell around 7%. German industrial output dropped 1.3% in February. German exports grew 1.8% in the same month. UK house prices slid 0.5% in March.
