Cathie Wood's ARK bought over $13M worth of Coinbase shares during market sell-off

Cathie Wood’s ARK Investment Management seized the opportunity during the $5.4 trillion U.S. equities market sell-off to purchase over 83,000 shares of Coinbase (COIN), worth more than $13 million. The flagship ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK) bought nearly 55,000 shares, with additional purchases from ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW) and ARK Fintech Innovation ETF (ARKF). Despite Coinbase shares slipping over 12% during the market rout, bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies remained resilient. The CoinDesk 20 (CD20) index dropped by 5.8% in the same period, following U.S. President Donald Trump’s unveiling of reciprocal tariffs globally.
