On April 3, the S&P 500 fell 4.8%, the worst decline since June 11, 2020, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 6%. Despite this, the Vanguard Consumer Staples ETF managed to outperform major indexes, with only a slight decline year to date. This ETF, with a 0.09% expense ratio and 2.4% dividend yield, offers a low-cost way for risk-averse investors to gain diversified exposure to dividend-paying value stocks.
