Asian stock markets surged on Thursday following news of a 90-day pause on new reciprocal tariffs by US President Trump. Tariffs will be lowered to 10% for most countries, except China, which will see a 125% tariff. Australian stocks are up 4.7%, with mining and tech sectors leading. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 jumped over 8%, with SoftBank Group and Toyota among top gainers. Other Asian markets also rose significantly. On Wall Street, major indices posted their biggest one-day gains in years. Crude oil prices rebounded after an early decline, closing at $62.35 a barrel.
