Lomond School in Scotland to accept Bitcoin for tuition in 2025, first in UK. School plans to integrate Austrian School of Economics principles into curriculum. Only Bitcoin accepted, to be converted to fiat immediately. School may establish BTC treasury in the future. Trend of institutions adopting Bitcoin as hedge against inflation grows.

Bitcoin slowly infiltrating education system, some institutions adopting BTC treasury strategy. University of Cincinnati added crypto courses in 2022. Mi Primer Bitcoin partnered with El Salvador Ministry of Education in 2023 for Bitcoin education. University of Wyoming launched Bitcoin Research Institute in 2024. University of Austin allocated $5 million to BTC investments in 2025. Chief investment officer cites increased institutional adoption for exposure.
