Tron founder Justin Sun denies knowledge of rumors involving former Binance CEO CZ Zhao collaborating with the US DoJ against him. Sun praises Zhao and their close relationship. CZ was sentenced to 4 months in prison in April 2024 for AML violations, as reported by the Wall Street Journal. Zhao left US prison on Sept. 27 with a net worth of $60 billion. Sun and the SEC paused the case against him for settlement talks in February 2026. The SEC previously sued Sun and his companies in March 2023. No response from the DoJ regarding the matter.
