Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, is adding Dina Powell McCormick and Patrick Collison to its board, expanding the board to 15 members. Powell McCormick, a former Goldman Sachs executive, served in various roles in previous administrations. Collison, CEO of fintech firm Stripe, was previously part of Meta’s Advisory Group. CEO Mark Zuckerberg praised their commitment to economic opportunity. These additions follow recent policy changes, including the removal of the U.S. fact-checking program and the appointment of Republican Joel Kaplan as chief global affairs officer. Meta’s board also includes notable figures like Dana White and Marc Andreessen.
