European Stocks Close On Buoyant Note

European stocks rallied on Monday following the U.S. announcement of temporary tariff exemptions on tech products. However, uncertainty remains as the exemptions are not permanent. The U.S. President also mentioned possible tariff rates on imported semiconductors. The pan European Stoxx 600 rose 2.1%, with markets in the UK, Germany, France, and Switzerland posting gains. UK house prices hit a new record in April, despite the end of the stamp duty holiday in March. Various European stocks from sectors like technology, financials, and luxury performed well, with gains seen in companies like Siemens Energy, BNP Paribas, and TotalEnergies.
