Indian shares opened higher following a surprise U.S. tariff exemption on smartphones and computers. The Sensex was up 2% at 76,681, and the Nifty rose 2% to 23,279. Tata Power secured a Rs. 4,500 crore order, Indian Hotels plans to expand to 380 hotels by FY25, and HCL Technologies integrated NVIDIA AI. Zydus Lifesciences got FDA approval for Jaythari tablets, while IRCON won a Rs 127.8 crore work order. Ashoka Buildcon and Ahluwalia Contracts both gained 5% after winning projects worth Rs 568.86 crore and Rs 396.5 crore, respectively.
