FitzMark adds to its acquisition streak with the purchase of refrigerated brokerage High Point Logistics (HPL) and less-than-truckload broker Pentonix Freight. This marks the eighth and ninth acquisitions for FitzMark since its founding in 2006, expanding its capabilities in refrigerated, LTL, and managed transportation. Financial terms were not disclosed.

3PL FitzMark, based in Indianapolis, offers brokerage services and a proprietary TMS to over 3,000 shippers and 25,000 carriers. The company, backed by private equity firm Calera Capital, aims to enhance services with the recent acquisitions of HPL and Pentonix, located in Jackson, Tennessee, and Fort Worth, Texas, respectively.

Scott Fitzgerald, FitzMark founder and CEO, sees the acquisitions as a strategic fit for the company’s service-intensive, high reliability model. R.E. Butts, former owner of HPL, anticipates the partnership will provide the team with the tools and support to enhance customer services and expand offerings. The financial details of the deals were not disclosed.
