Science in Sport directors approve takeover bid by B-D Capital for £82.3m, £0.34 per share

Science in Sport directors have approved a takeover bid from private-equity firm B-D Capital, valuing the company at £82.3m. The offer is £0.34 per share. Despite a first-half loss of £2.5m, down from £3.3m the previous year, revenues dropped by 25.4% to £25.7m. Shareholders owning over 40% of the business have agreed to the takeover, with the deal needing shareholder approval. BD-Capital has shown interest in SiS for its growth potential and experienced management team. The acquisition will allow shareholders to cash out at a premium without additional risk. The company markets sports nutrition products through various channels and has a production facility in northern England.
