Walmart Inc. (WMT) has opened a new 1-million-square-foot distribution center in Jacksonville, Florida, supporting 18 Sam’s Club locations across the Southeast. The facility also distributes imported goods to four U.S. centers. Jacksonville is growing as a logistics hub, with the center creating new full-time roles with benefits. Walmart is committed to the community, marked by $5,000 grants to local nonprofits. The company also donated over $122 million in Florida in fiscal 2024.
