Malaysia Bourse May Hand Back Thursday’s Gains

The Malaysia stock market rebounded, with the KLCI finishing higher by 0.43% at 1,483.27 points. Asian markets are soft due to uncertainty over Trump’s tariffs, while the US markets closed mostly lower. Wall Street saw the Dow drop 1.33%, NASDAQ dip 0.13%, and S&P 500 rise 0.13%. The S&P, NASDAQ, and Dow all declined for the week. UnitedHealth shares fell 22.4% after poor earnings. US jobless claims decreased, but housing construction fell in March. Crude oil prices rose to $64.68 a barrel. Malaysia will release March import/export data and Q1 GDP figures today, with expectations for an increase in imports and exports, and a trade surplus of MYR13.80 billion.
