In afternoon trading, Technology & Communications stocks are the worst performing sector, with Super Micro Computer Inc (SMCI) and NVIDIA Corp (NVDA) showing losses of 4.2% and 3.9%, respectively. The Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) is down 0.3% on the day, and down 16.69% year-to-date. SMCI is up 0.26% year-to-date, while NVDA is down 25.24% year-to-date.

The Industrial sector is the next worst performing, with Global Payments Inc (GPN) and Snap-On, Inc. (SNA) showing losses of 17.9% and 8.6% respectively. The Industrial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLI) is up 0.8% in midday trading and down 4.38% year-to-date. GPN is down 38.18% year-to-date, while SNA is down 9.98% year-to-date.

Energy is the best performing sector, up 3.0%, followed by Utilities at 1.7% and Consumer Products at 1.4%. Services, Materials, Financial, Healthcare, and Industrial sectors are also up, while Technology & Communications is only up by 0.1%. No sectors are down in afternoon trading on Thursday.
