OpenAI has partnered with News Corp, gaining access to content from various news organizations like The Wall Street Journal and MarketWatch, among others. This collaboration aims to uphold journalistic standards and enhance users’ access to quality reporting through AI technology, following similar partnerships with the Financial Times and Reddit.

News Corp will provide expertise to ensure journalistic standards are met across OpenAI’s offerings. CEO Sam Altman values News Corp’s history in global news reporting and aims to promote a future where AI respects and enhances world-class journalism. The financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed but could be worth over $250 million over five years.

Previously, OpenAI collaborated with the Financial Times and Reddit to use their content for training AI models. The partnership with Reddit also involves implementing AI-powered features on the platform, emphasizing the importance of authentic and up-to-date human conversations. Steve Huffman, Reddit’s CEO, highlights the value of connecting audiences and communities through AI technology like ChatGPT.
