Enterprise Products Partners may face challenges in exporting ethane and butane to China due to a new U.S. Department of Commerce requirement for a license. The U.S. has ordered companies to stop shipping without a license, affecting Enterprise’s operations. The company is evaluating its options but uncertainty remains. In 2024, their Houston terminal exported 40% of its ethane to China.
