These entities seek $2.5m daily interest. YPF’s 2012 nationalization led to legal disputes due to minority investor exclusion. Argentina contests the US ruling and seeks to halt enforcement in the UK. YPF’s transition from state-owned to private entity in 1993 outlined buyout procedures for government control exceeding 49%, which Argentina violated in 2012, leading to lawsuits from investors.
