Scatec ASA signs a Power Purchase Agreement with EETC in Egypt for a total capacity of 1.95 GW Solar and 3.9 GWh BESS, marking the largest solar and BESS installation in Africa. The projects aim to provide continuous baseload power and grid stabilizing services, supporting Egypt’s energy transition and economic development. Scatec will be compensated under a 25-year, USD-denominated pay-as-produced PPA, with annual energy delivery estimated at 6,000 GWh. The company will provide EPC, AM, and O&M services, with financial details to be disclosed at the expected financial close in the second half of 2026.
