Eni’s subsidiary Plenitude has acquired a 760-MW portfolio of renewable assets in France from Neoen, including solar plants, wind farms, and a battery storage facility. The deal, subject to regulatory approval, is part of Plenitude’s 2025–2028 Strategic Plan to reach 10 GW of installed renewable capacity by 2028.

This acquisition is one of the largest renewable M&A transactions in the French market and will help Plenitude consolidate its presence in France, where it already serves 1 million retail customers. The company aims to exceed 11 million customers across Europe by 2028 and 15 million by 2030.

Plenitude’s CEO Stefano Goberti stated that this acquisition accelerates the company’s expansion in the energy solutions and e-mobility sectors. For Neoen, the sale highlights the strong investor interest in mature, subsidy-backed French renewable assets as utilities and energy players pursue clean-energy portfolios in Europe.

The completion of this transaction will advance Plenitude’s efforts to expand its renewable generation base and support Eni’s broader decarbonization goals. This move underscores the company’s commitment to growing its presence in France’s competitive power market and enhancing its integrated model across renewables, energy solutions, and retail supply.
